Youth Ministry at Our Lady of Fatima

The purpose of Youth Ministry here at Our Lady of Fatima is to meet the spiritual and developmental needs of our young people.  Our Youth Programs attempt to touch upon various components, which include advocacy, catechesis, community life, evangelization, justice, service, leadership development, pastoral care, guidance, and prayer and worship through a variety of activities and events in the parish and community.

The goals of the program are to empower teens to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today, to draw teens to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community, as well as to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each teen.

There are separate programs for our high school and our junior high school students.

HELPING WITH YOUTH MINISTRY

We encourage parents and young adults to engage in the youth ministry at Our Lady of Fatima.  Assistance with various events and trips is often very helpful.  However, in an effort to ensure the safety of all the youths in OLF-sponsored programs and events, we require some prerequisite screening and education of all our volunteers.  Please visit our page on safe environments for more information on these prerequisites.

Contact Sharon Lynn (762-9080) for more information on volunteering with the youth groups' activities.
