Volunteer Opportunities

The Religious Education Staff is grateful for our volunteers without whose help we could not achieve our goals.  Diocesan directives now require, for the safety of our children, that all volunteers and employees attend a "Protecting God's Children" workshop, submit to a background check, and acknowledge receipt of the sexual misconduct policy and code of conduct policy.

Please visit our web page on safe environments for more information on these volunteer prerequisites.  Our volunteers are our biggest assets. We would be most appreciative of your willingness to fulfill the above requirements so that we can call upon you occasionally to help us in various capacities throughout the school year.

Some ways you can help are:

  • Substitute teaching when our regular volunteer teachers are unable to make a class
  • One-on-One Catechist for children needing extra help
  • Hall monitor to assist staff during weekday classes with snacks, watching over the school halls, playground dismissal duty, mailings, and more
  • Babysitting catechist's children during class time on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday
  • Fundraising  (coordinate a bake sale, car wash, etc...)
  • Publicity and/or general office help

Please contact the Religious Education office for further details.  Thank you!
