Safe EnvironmentsOur Lady of Fatima parish is fully committed to safe environments where people of all ages, children to adults, can learn, worship, and socialize without fear of abuse or threat. All priests, religious education staff, catechists, hall
monitors, and parents/adults involved with Youth Ministry are required
to attend a workshop entitled "Protecting God's Children" and complete
an authorization for a background check. In addition, the Diocese
of Bridgeport has instituted a new safe environment policy.
Volunteers must sign a form acknowledging receipt of the new
policy. Volunteers will also receive a copy of the Diocese Code
of Conduct
Policy and sign a form acknowledging receipt of this new policy. Now, more than ever before, the Catholic Church is committed to the health and safety of our children. You can rest assure that Our Lady of Fatima is fully aligned in this commitment and that the safety of our children is our top priority.
