A Letter from Father Palmer

Dear Parents,

You are a very important part of the Religious Education ministry of Our Lady of Fatima parish. This ministry includes much more than sharing information. It is a proven fact that the process of forming our young people into mature Christian adults begins at home with you. Working together as teachers, parents, and students is the process by which a parish religious education program produces successful results.

Working together means attending parent sacramental meetings, teaching your children in their early years to pray, taking them to church, taking an active interest in what your children are learning in religious education, sharing as a family in the Sunday Eucharist, and discussing the message of the Scriptures.

These are only some of the ways in which you can support and show the importance of religious education for your children. You can also dialogue as a family about ways in which the message of the Gospel and the Mass can be put into action in your own family life.

May God bless you and your children in the important work you do in striving to become the best possible disciples of our Lord Jesus and His family, the Church.
